Approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes northeast of Québec City, in the region of Charlevoix is a charming French Canadian village situated directly on the shores of the St. Lawrence River. La Malbaie / Pointe-au-Pic, located in one of the most beautiful regions in Québec, nestles amid spectacular scenery--mountains, waterfalls, valleys and, of course, the river. The St. Lawrence, about 20 to 25 kilometers wide at this point, has tides and occasionally one can see seals and whales from our yard.
| Our house, a gracious old Victorian residence overlooking the river, is in the center of Pointe-au-Pic. The public rooms are filled with antiques and curios from around the world and the acres of beautiful gardens surrounding the house are filled with quiet places to sit and enjoy the scenery. A full breakfast is served in the dining room every morning between 8:00 and 10:00 a.m. and there are five large, comfortable bedrooms available year round. Prices range from $75.00 to $95.00 for two persons, taxes extra. |  |
